Foundation Director To Visit High Schools and Community Colleges
Cheyenne – Foundation Director Susan Thomas will be visiting several communities next week to inform students and the general public about the programs offered by the Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation. Thomas will meet with students, principals and counselors at schools in Midwest, Kaycee, Buffalo, Sheridan and Gillette. A meeting schedule is attached. More than two dozen Wyomingites have been selected to receive scholarships from the Craig and Susan Thomas Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to helping at risk students get post-secondary training in order to become positive, contributing members of society. Scholarships are given a semester at a time and recipients are mentored by Mrs. Thomas. Scholarship recipients and additional information concerning the Foundation are available online at www.Thomas-Foundation.com. The Foundation also gives an annual Leadership Award to an individual who inspires Wyoming youth. The winner of the Leadership Award receives $2,500 and is honored at the Wyoming State Fair. Nominations are due June 1 and forms are available online at www.Thomas-Foundation.com. The foundation is named in part for the late United States Senator Craig Thomas who championed the cause of Wyoming's youth.
